Baseboard - Zonal heaters
located at floor level/baseboard usually under
windows and many times thermostatically controlled
within each room. Heat can be supplied via Electric,
Hot Water, or Oil Filled.
Electronic Air Filter - A filter that changes
dust particles using high-voltage direct current and
then collects these particles on a plate of an
opposite charge.
Forced Air - A form of heating and/or air
conditioning by a means of vents, ducts, and blower
units.
Hot Water - Central heating appliance for
heating water and circulating steam or hot water to
the house through pipes.
Heat Pump - Device used for heating and cooling
which operates by moving heat from the exterior to
the interior of the dwelling in the winter and
moving heat from the interior to the exterior in the
summer.
Humidifier - A device used to add moisture to
the air.
Radiant - Electric heating cables imbedded in
floors or ceilings. Other radiant heating systems
use special gypsum ceiling panels equipped with
factory-imbedded heating cables.
Radiator - A means of transferring heat from a
nest of pipes or tubes.

Solar Active/Passive - Heat through a source of
energy - the sun.
Zoned - A system in which living areas are
divided into separate spaces with each space's
heating/air conditioning controlled independently.
Steam - A steam central heating appliance.
